November 9th: Gingerbread baking is a traditional Norwegian pre-Christmas tradition. You can create buildings to donate to the worlds largest Gingerbread City.

The Bergen Gingerbread City is - by far -the worlds largest, and it is a very popular tradition for both young and old, visited by thousands in the weeks before Christmas. The buildings who make up the city is baked by kinder gardens, schools, families and grupus from all over Bergen.

Pratical information:

There is no fee for participating in this event. Study Bergen will provide the gingerbread dough, glue and decorations. All you need to bring is a smile and good construction skills.

The event will be in St. Pauls childrens school. The doors will open at 13:00 at Sunday November 9th. There will be about 10 stations, so you'll be around 6-8 people per station. You will need to make, bake and assemble the house on your own.

When the houses are done, we will go together to give them to the Gingerbread town. This will be no later than 20:00. By that time you must also have cleaned up your stations.
