JUNE: The trip over Vidden - the mountain plateau between Fløyen and Ulriken - is classic Bergen experience.

Experience Bergen and the surroundings by sunset and sunrise! Vidden has a beautiful Norwegian mountain landscape with mountain lakes and a spectacular scenery. You will also reach three of the seven mountains: Fløyen (399 meters), Rundemanen (568 meters) and Ulriken (643 meters).

You don’t need to be super-fit to join this trip as we will have plenty of stops and walk at a leisurely pace. But the trip is approximately 20km so you must be fit enough to walk this distance. You also need to have some experience from walking in mountains before.

The hike is free for all students at our member institutions. Read more about the rules at our events.

We leave from the top of Fløyen on Saturday 13th June at 21:45 and walk up to Mount Rundemann to watch the sunset. From here we continue to Mount Ulriken for the sunrise, passing mountain lakes and spectacular scenery.

This trip is free but you will need:

* Good walking shoes / hiking boots
* A backpack
* Food and water for the trip
* Suitable clothing for the weather conditions
* Cash if you decide to take the Funicular up to Mount Fløyen and/or the gondala down from Mount Ulriken.
Please note that this trip is subject to weather conditions and will be cancelled if there is heavy rain or fewer than 25 participants.
