The former public swimming pool Sentralbadet has been transformed into a new, modern performing arts centre and opens March 2027!

Sentralbadet Scenekunsthus will be the most modern theatre building in the country. It will feature two stages of 507 and 362 square meters, with ceiling heights of 11 and 7 meters, seating capacities of 300 and 150. Additionally, the venue will include several smaller studios, rehearsal spaces, and a café.

The 4^th of March 2027 is the official opening of the centre. 

Carte Blanche 

The Norwegian National Dance Company was established in 1989 and has it’ s home base in Bergen. The ensemble concsist of 14 dancers from all over the world.  The company’s goal is being a forerunner for innovation, presentation and development of contemporary dance, both in Norway and abroad.

Bergen International Theatre

BIT was established as a theater festival back in 1990, but has grown to become an important co-producer and presenter of Norwegian and International performing arts. They host events such as Meteor festival, October dance and more. Prøverommet is their try-out arena, where everyone with a creative project apply and participate.
