Ed Wood (1994)
The cult classic about the «world’s worst director» Ed Wood (1994) is the perfect warm-up for our own TRASHFILMFESTIVAL.
Ever optimistic Ed Wood tries to break through as a director in 50s Hollywood, and he is not going to let his serious lack of talent stop him.
A commercial flop when it was first released, it soon garnered a cult following. Its strength can be traced to Tim Burton’s love for outsiders and the sympathetic picture painted of Ed Wood. The film restrains itself of ridiculing the colorful personalities inhabiting the screen with the result being heartwarming and compassionate.
