Plastic cleanup campaign 2025

Join this years plastic cleanup campaign

UiB and Bærekraftspilotene invites students and employees to attend the yearly campaign. 

The event is organized in collaboration with the Bergen og omland friluftsråd (BOF) and Naturvernforbundet Hordaland.

In addition to making an important contribution to nature and wildlife, UiB’s plastic cleanup events are a great way to connect with fellow students, staff, and organizations that care about the environment and climate (uib.no)

This years campaign will be outside the island of Hellesøy. 

• Meeting place: Bus station 
• Bus to Hellesøy leaves at 9 pm sharp. 

At Hellesøy boats will pick up participants and go to the island where the actual plastic cleanup will take place.
