We're cleaning up Vågen – what's hiding beneath the surface?

Right in the heart of Bergen lies Vågen, one of Norway's most iconic and historic harbour areas. Every day, thousands of people walk along the quayside. But how many actually know what's hiding just a few metres below them?

That's what we're about to find out!

As part of Beach Cleanup Week, SUB-BSI will be cleaning up Vågen together with the Norwegian Society for the Conservation of Nature (Norges Miljøvernforbund). Divers will go beneath the surface to search for and bring up waste that has ended up on the seabed over the years.

And you're invited to come and see what we find!

Anyone who'd like to take part as a volunteer on land is more than welcome to join!
