Located on the West Coast of Norway and close to the North Sea, the climate in Bergen can feel cold and harsh for many incoming students. But not to worry, if you have decent clothes, any weather is good weather.

Well, yes, let's be honest, it rains a lot in Bergen. In fact, more than 200 days a year. So an umbrella or a rain coat is therefore one of the most useful accessories you can have as a student in Bergen. That being said, walking in the rain can be a really nice experience. And when the sun finally shines, there are no better place to be than in Bergen.

So: even if you are studying here in the spring semester or the fall semester, you have to pack for both sunny days and cold days.
