Bergen Internasjonale Teater
Bergen Internasjonale Teater (BIT) shows highlights from around the world of theatre and dance in the heart of Bergen.
At BIT you will find contemporary theatre, dance, performance and performing arts from Bergen, Norway and around the world, in addition to workshops and discourse programmes throughout the spring! Every month you can attend performances, visit our social meeting places such as Åpen dør and Lunsj med BIT, or explore the performing arts community in the city through Prøverommet, where new projects are tested and see the light of day – on several evenings. In the spring of 2026 you will find us at various venues all over the city, from Studio Bergen to Grieghallen, Galleri Kronborg to Bergen Kjøtt. In the autumn of 2026 you will find us in the brand new Sentralbadet Scenekunsthus.

Who can join?
As an audience, everyone is of course welcome. We have a pay-what-you-can scheme which also makes it quite affordable to see performances with us. Those who are particularly interested can sign up as a volunteer. We are especially in need of good volunteers for our festivals in October/November. Contact us at info@bitteater.no.
