Dragen - Dragefjellets Musikkorps

Dragen is a music band with high artistic and musical ambitions. 

Dragefjellet's Musikkorps (Dragen) – founded in 1914, in a competition context – is one of the most awarded bands in Norway throughout the ages and a driving force in the band environment in Bergen and Hordaland. Dragefjellet's Musikkorps sets the bar high through their concert production, and plays a varied and demanding program throughout the season. Dragen has a long list of merits from NM, EC and WC and honours for best instrument groups and soloists.  

Dragen actively recruits amateur musicians from the surrounding area and students in Bergen, especially school youth, music students or music teachers/freelancers. Dragen has a stable line-up throughout the year at a high musical level. It is a prerequisite for the corps' vitality to have a varied cast with all instruments in a symphonic wind ensemble represented.
