Fides - Bergen Catholic Student Group

Local division of NUK organization (Norwegian Young Catholics)

The word ‘Fides ‘ is a Latin word and means ‘faith’. In the student group Fides, Norwegian and international young Catholics (age 18-35) meet in both a social and spiritual fellowship. There are meetings twice a week: in Norwegian on Thursdays (after the 19:00 mass) and English on Sundays (after the 18:00 mass).

We start the meetings by praying together. Then we have activities, earlier we’ve had making-your-own-rosary-night, eating waffles, many discussions about spiritual themes, making Christmas decorations, game nights, potluck-dinners, picnic/grilling outside and mountain hikes. We also have evenings with coffee/tea and snacks where we just sit and talk together.
