Jussgruppen Wayback

Jussgruppen WayBack (JWB) is a group under WayBack Bergen, which provides legal advice to inmates and former inmates. 

JWB was started in 2009 by students at the Faculty of Law in Bergen, and we are a group of about 20 law students. JWB visits Bjørgvin and Bergen prisons every Thursday and provides legal advice to the inmates. We also participate in activities organized by WayBack Bergen. One activity we regularly take part in is the Thursday dinners together with the participants. Both released participants and inmates on parole attend these dinners. 

In addition to visiting the prisons, we also write articles in various newspapers, and organize themed evenings at the law faculty in Bergen. We shine a light on themes within the correctional system. We also write consultation opinions. 

The legal group hires new advisers every May and November. Information about the application deadline and other information about the position is posted on the group's Facebook page; JWB Jussgruppen WayBack. There we also regularly update about the activities we do.
