The Cultural board

Kulturstyret is Velferdstinget Vest’s executive body for cultural politics and will contribute to strengthening the cultural activity for Sammen students in Bergen. 

The Cultural Board allocates approximately 1.5 million Norwegian kroner annually to student culture in Bergen. Our support schemes include operational support and journal support with an application deadline of February 15th, as well as project funding. The Cultural Board also prepares matters related to cultural policy. We aim to strengthen the cultural activities and social offerings for the students in Bergen affiliated with the Students' Welfare Organization of Western Norway - Sammen. As a competent organization, the Cultural Board also regularly organises courses and can be contacted for assistance and support for new and existing organizations. We can also provide office space and rehearsal rooms.

Positions in the Cultural Board include:

• Chairperson, 1 year (paid)
• Vice Chairperson, 1 year (paid)
• 1 board member for 2 years
• 6 board members for 1 year
• 7 ranked alternate members
