Sammen

Sammen is the welfare organisation (Student Union) in Western Norway. We work to ensure that the students in Western Norway have a great study time!

Sammen is an association for students who pay semester fees to the following educational institutions: 

• University of Bergen (UiB) 
• Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL) 
• Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) 
• Bergen School of Architecture (BAS) 
• VID Specialized University 
• NLA University College 
• Skrivekunstakademiet 
• Kristiania
• Norwegian Business School, Bergen (BI) 
• Kunstskulen i Bergen (KiB) 
• Noroff – School of technology and digital media 
• Fagskulen Vestland

Once you have paid the semester fee, you get access to all Sammen's offers. Sammen run fitness centres, nurseries, health services, housing, cafes and more. Some of the services are free for you as a student, and otherwise the prices must be competitive and as reasonable as possible for students. All our profits go back to you students, and in our board the students have a majority and the chairman is also a student. 

Together with the educational institutions, we work to develop the holistic learning environment for students in Western Norway. By offering good welfare schemes and high-quality courses, we will work together to make Western Norway an attractive place to study. 

We also have cooperation with Bergen Municipality, Vestland County Municipality and Bergen Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Bergen Municipality also contributes financial support to the operation of Sammen Psykisk Helsetjeneste (SPH).
