Vektorprogrammet

The Vector program works to increase interest in mathematics and science among pupils in primary school

We are a national student society that sends students with good science skills to schools to help students in mathematics. These students also have good pedagogical skills and are good role models. They are Norway's science heroes.  

Motivating students 

Vektorprogrammet wants to increase the understanding of mathematics among students in primary school. Understanding gives a feeling of mastery, which leads to further motivation. Since mathematics is the basis for all science subjects, the aim is that this should also lead to motivation and further exploration of science subjects. 

Motivate students  

Our aim is for all students to remain more motivated for further studies after being a assistant. From experience, we know that the opportunity to convey one's own knowledge and see that their work gives students a sense of mastery is a strong motivational factor. Furthermore, we arrange both social and professional events to reinforce this motivation. 

A taste of the teaching profession! 

Since the students are present during the lessons, they get an introduction to the teaching profession. Many who study science consider a future as a teacher, and through us get the opportunity to gain real experience.
